Tips for Parents and Schools Regarding 9/11

Within 48 hours of the attack on America, the National Association of
School Psychologists drafted a series of suggested discussion points
regarding tolerance and the importance of not assigning blame or
focusing anger on religious or ethnic groups. It was a powerful and
patriotic message delivered repeatedly by responsible commentators and
leaders, including President Bush, in the days following September 11.
In March, NASP updated this document to discuss teaching tolerance in the general context of crisis. The original document is listed above with the updated links below.
