HPV and Cervical Health

As seen in NEA Today

The NEA Health Information Network, in partnership with the American Social Health Association - www.ashastd.org - has produced a free resource to help NEA members and the families and students they serve make informed decisions about cervical cancer prevention. The booklet, Talking AboutCervical Cancer Prevention, is a short, engaging resource that provides information about cervical cancer and the virus that causes it: the human papillomavirus (HPV).

Since the first vaccine to prevent some types of HPV hit the market in June of 2006, many questions about cervical cancer prevention have surfaced. This booklet answers many of those questions, such as: Who should get vaccinated?, When should I get tested?, and I have HPV; what now?

Download Talking About Cervical Cancer Prevention, or contact NEA HIN at 202-822-7570 for more information.
